Pune: Youths from eight countries came together to participate in a unique competition which involves innovating new ideas for a better world called ‘Innompic Games 2017.’ The competition was inaugurated on Sunday at the College of Engineering Pune (CoEP).

Present at the inauguration were dignitaries and youths from across the world who intended to innovate different ideas to tackle issues like terrorism, poverty, various diseases, etc.

Speaking during the inauguration, Sakal Media Group Chairman, Pratap Pawar, said that it is very positive to see the young people coming together to work with each other rather than against each other.

“In a world which is constantly on the brink of war, it is good to see that the young representatives here are willing to come together to work for common problems. More such platforms should be made where people can talk constructively for the betterment of this world,” noted Pawar.

Echoing similar opinion, Rajendra Jagdale, Director General, Science and Technology Park said that programmes like these help the young to build a strong social responsibility.

“Many young people participate here to innovate with only the core problems in their mind such as diseases, terrorism, environmental issues and poverty. These problems have roots in every nation. And they can be eradicated only with the participation of young people,” said Jagdale.

“Indians have a tradition of giving back to the society and so we thought of starting this initiative from Pune. We are aiming at reaching one billion people in next two years by making these games furthermore interactive and accessible online. The more people innovate together we will get more solutions for the problems we all are facing today,” said Vadim Kotelnikov.
